Surveillance report of HIV and syphilis among the commercial sex workers in the entertainment establishments in Gucheng District
Objective To learn about the prevalence of STDs and HIV among the commercial sex workers(CSWs)in the entertainment establishments in Gucheng District,and to provide evidence for the strategy against HIV/STDs.Methods According to the national guideline of STDs/AIDS testing to screen the diseases among female CSWs.Results Among the total 483 female CSWs,4 cases were tested HIV positive and 4 women are with syphilis respectively. Conclusion A among the CSWs it is necessary to enforce the intervention,increase their self-prevention awareness, expand the use of condom,standardize the diagnosis and treatment of STDs,and scale up the effective measures against STDs/AIDS in Gucheng District.
