The epidemic analysis on the 823 people with HIV/AIDS
Objective To analyze the epidemic information for 823 cases with HIV/AIDS in Xuanwei,and to provide suggestion and evidence for the HIV/AIDS prevention and control.Methods To collect and analyze the information of cumulative 823 people with HIV/AIDS in Xuanwei by the end of 2007,involved with sex,age, occupation,marriage status,education background,geographic distribution and HIV transmission routes.Results The major transmission means is by injecting drug using,the major infections happened in the populations:aged 20-49 years old,with low education,rural people,unmarried men,and living in the city area or near city area. Conclusion It is proposed to strengthen the work and take effective measures to realize the integrative network of county-township-village,multi-sectoral participation and the whole society involvement in order to ensure the strategies of public education,counseling and testing,informed process,follow up and treat and care services into practice.
