The change of Q waves on electrocardiogram in 70 duhenne muscular dystrophy patients
Objective The purpose of this study is to observe the change of Q waves on electrocar-diogram in duhenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) patients. Methods This study analyzes the electrocardio-grams of 70 DMD patients as the DMD group and 71 normal persons as the contrast group, comparing the Q waves of these two groups in the leads ofⅠ、 Ⅱ、 Ⅲ、avL、avF、V4、V5、V6. Results Both the two group share the same spans of Q waves(0.03 s), and the average Q waves swings of the DMD group inⅠ、Ⅱ、avL、V4、V5、 V6 leads are 0.1756, 0.1996, 0.3846, 0.4844, 0.4087, 0.3573 mV for each, all of the above values are significantly larger than those of the normal group (P0.05). Conclusion On electrocardiogram, the swings of Q wave obviously deepen in DMD patients.
