Analysis of health examinations among 1550 elderly persons
Objective To survey the health situation of 1550 elderly persons in Wuhan.Methods The medical check-up data of 1550 elderly persons from the physical examination were analyzed.Results Those in complete good health only accounted for 3.2%.11.2%、35.3%、37.3%、16.2% of the examinees suffered from 1、2、3 、4 kinds of diseases.The top ten commonest diseases were hypertention(42.8%)、over weight/obestity(38.2%)、fatty liver(36.2%)、hyperlipidemia(34.1%)、hyperglycemiar/diabetes(31.1%)、ECG abnormality(26.5%)、kidney disease(22.4%)、gallbladder disease(12.2%)、hepatitis B virus infection(11.7%)in the sequence of frequency from high to low,metabolic syndrom(29.4%).Hypertention was the first disease in prevalence both in men and women.Conclusion Most of the elderly are not in good health.Health education and promotion need carring on in order to strengthen the abilities against chronic disease.
