Empirical study on measuring the optimal scale of county general hospitals using method of survival analysis
This article compared the change of the percents of hospital number and hospital outcome of county general hospitals from 1995 to 2004,and measured the optimal scale of county general hospitals in Guangdong province using method of survival analysis.The results exhibited that the hospitals with beds between 100 and 199 or more than 600 showed scale economies.While the hospitals with beds between 200 and 299 showed scale diseconomies.At last,we analyzed the problems about using method of survival analysis and analyzing optimal scale of hospitals.
